Monique and Jim love sharing their love of antiques and their beautiful region, as well as their passion for cooking, inspired by over 1,000 French-English cookery books in their collection. You’ll be welcomed with a glass of Pineau des Charentes.
The garden, framed by a wall of Saintonge stone, overlooks the cathedral and offers a haven of peace. Here you’ll find aromatic herbs, and you can enjoy breakfast or while away the time with a cup of tea or an aperitif.
The spacious, light-filled rooms (2 bedrooms and 1 suite) feature high-quality bedding, cotton satin bed linen, and Egyptian cotton bath towels and dressing gowns.
You can enjoy the table d’hôtes, where the cuisine is prepared using local produce sourced from sustainable or organic farms.
Your hosts will be delighted to introduce you to local artists and all the hidden gems surrounding the town of Saintes, the River Charente and the Saintonge countryside, bathed in a unique light that inspires creativity and contemplation.
