Pineau des Charentes and cognac

Meeting the land and the ocean, the Pineau des Charentes is much more than a legend, which would have it born out of serendipity ...

There is no coincidence in its production, born from the know-how of the winegrowers, who, at each harvest, select, in the appellation area, the grapes from white grape varieties (ugniblanc, colombard, montils , sémillon, merlot blanc…) or reds (merlot noir, cabernet...), then Cognac eau de vie, to create their Pineau des Charentes.

Cognac is made from blended eaux-de-vie, the main grape varieties of which are: Ugni blanc, Folle blanche. The cognac then ages in oak barrels in the cellars.

In Saintes and Saintonge, visit the producers, discover the cellars and the know-how of enthusiasts!
