Our guest house is located in the heart of the Charente-Maritime region, between the town of Saintes (12km), with its many Romanesque monuments, the beaches of Royan (20km) and the historic towns of Rochefort, Cognac and La Rochelle. L'Orée du Bois is located in the small village of Rétaud, famous for its Romanesque church, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and on the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela.
