The gîte is situated in the peace and quiet of the countryside, 10 minutes from Saintes and 25 minutes from Royan. After several months' work to transform an authentic cowshed into a typical Saintonge farmhouse, the adventure of the Domaine du Petit Bois gîte can begin. The gîte will provide you with all the comforts you need, while retaining as much of the original features as possible (pointed stones, cobblestones, cattle trough, etc.). A large, fully-equipped kitchen (oven, induction hob, dishwasher, microwave, 2 coffee makers (filter and Nespresso), kettle, toaster, fridge-freezer, extractor fan, crockery). The aesthetic touch: an authentic butcher's block in the centre of the furniture. The living area with its 2 stone niches and the old feeding trough restored as a sofa. A television, a second settee, a table and a coffee table complete the layout. On the first floor, accessed via a staircase reworked from the floorboards of the barn, you will find the landing with its small relaxation area under a main beam, its large cupboard with louvered doors and the washing machine area. The landing leads to 2 air-conditioned bedrooms: the parents' bedroom (160cm bed, cupboard, wardrobe and beam) and the children's bedroom (2 90cm beds that can become 180cm beds, chest of drawers, stone niche and beam). Then there is the shower room with a large shower, washbasin, WC, towel rail and shelving. Finally, the outside with its wooden terrace and garden planted with fruit trees will delight you for moonlit meals or sun loungers. Sheets and towels, iron and ironing board provided.
