Nearby hiking trails, châteaux to visit and close to the islands of Oléron, Ré and Aix. Situated in Saintonge Romane, a few kilometres from Saintes, this self-catering cottage opened in 2007 and is located in the village of Les Essards, on the owners' farm, which has been taken over by their son, a maltster, brewer and producer of organic beer. With a surface area of 80 m², this gite sleeps 6 people in 3 bedrooms. It has its own private car park, a terrace at the rear of the building and a large, fully enclosed garden planted with trees and grass. This single-storey accommodation is adjoined by a second furnished apartment, to which it shares an entrance, and where the owners provide tourist information. This furnished accommodation has an open-plan kitchen, a living room, 3 bedrooms (1 bedroom with a 140 cm double bed, 1 bedroom with a 160 cm double bed, and 1 third bedroom with 2 90 cm single beds), a shower room and a separate private bathroom.
